The surah that opens with the oath of the Divine One swearing by the The Morning Brightness and the night when all falls still. It is named after “the morning brightness” (ḍūḥā), mentioned in verse 1. The surah is an address to the Prophet Muhammad, to reassure him, when he had not received revelation for some time, that his Lord had not forsaken him.The surah is also known as: Daylight, Early Hours of Morning, Morning Bright, Morning Light, The Forenoon, The Glorious Morning Light, The Morning.

وَالضُّحىٰ
wa-ḍ-ḍuḥā
By the morning brightness,
2
وَاللَّيلِ إِذا سَجىٰ
wa-l-layli ʾidhā sajā
by the night when it is calm!
3
ما وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَما قَلىٰ
mā waddaʿaka rabbuka wa-mā qalā
Your Lord has neither forsaken younor is He displeased with you,
4
وَلَلآخِرَةُ خَيرٌ لَكَ مِنَ الأولىٰ
wa-la-l-ʾākhiratu khayrun laka mina l-ʾūlā
and the Hereafter shall be better for you than the world.
5
وَلَسَوفَ يُعطيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرضىٰ
wa-la-sawfa yuʿṭīka rabbuka fa-tarḍā
Soon your Lord will give you [that with which]you will be pleased.
