فَإِذَا النُّجومُ طُمِسَت
fa-ʾidhā n-nujūmu ṭumisat
So when the stars are blotted out,
9
وَإِذَا السَّماءُ فُرِجَت
wa-ʾidhā s-samāʾu furijat

أَحياءً وَأَمواتًا
ʾaḥyāʾan wa-ʾamwātan
for the living and the dead,
